Parks: Grand Park LA
The new Grand Park is one of LA’s most beautiful, vibrant, and reflective parks in the city. It has breathtaking views of the downtown skyline extending from the Music Center to City Hall. During the summer, Grand Park hosts many free events that provide Angelenos of all walks of life, a place to come together and enjoy LA’s slice of green paradise.
Kicking off the Summer Solstice at the park is a free performance by the Colburn Wind Symphony at the Performance Lawn. The show runs from 4pm – 6pm and is free for everyone. Let your ears be soothed by the sounds of summer at Grand Park LA.

Perfoming Arts: The Music Center
At the top of Grand Park LA is one of the world’s premier performing arts destinations with 4 different venues showcasing acts like ballet, opera, musicals, and symphonies. The Music Center is not only a wonderful place to experience the performing arts, but is also a great place to mesmer over the beautiful architecture and fountains all summer long.

Film: The Silver Lake Picture Show – June 26
Beginning June 26th, one of LA’s best free outdoor cinemas, The Silver Lake Picture Show, returns to the Sunset Triangle Plaza with ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze”. What makes the Picture Show unique is its support for and collaboration with community organizations and their initiatives and its dedication to giving local artists and filmmakers an opportunity to share their work.
Pack a blanket, food and chairs, and drag your friends and pets to enjoy a free movie under the LA twilight. Show starts at sundown!

Vortex Immersion LA Dome – June 27
If you have ever wondered what art and technology looked and felt like if they collided, then prepare to have your imagination stretched and satisfied. For one night only in DTLA, Vortex Immersion Media invites you to “MORPHOS”, an audio and visual experience featuring the world premiere of new experimental immersive and interactive video art in the Vortex LA Dome. Vortex is one of the first domes in the world to house software; allowing artists to expand on the immersive experience through easy playback, interactivity, and audience generative art.
The experience will highlight the work of five artist-in-residence, in addition to a reel of international full-dome artwork curated by Creative Director, Ethan Bach. “MORPHOS” will take you on a unique and immersive audio and visual journey, promising to make you feel a blissful state of being. Grab your family and friends for this one night only experience in DTLA—you don’t want to miss this one-of-kind event!
